Virgin Trains Offers Faster, Cheaper Journeys to Paris and Brussels via Eurostar E-mail
Virgin Trains has teamed up with Eurostar to offer dramatic improvements in journey times to Paris and Brussels and extend the range of bargain thorough fares. Eurostar has today introduced its new timetable, following completion of Eurotunnel's repairs to the Channel Tunnel after the incident last September. Combined with the full introduction of the Virgin Trains timetable last week, journey times to the Continent have been slashed, some by around two hours.

Special through fare deals

By booking ahead, customers can take advantage of the cheapest deals, which are subject to availability.

Selected North Wales stations have recently been added to the list of places offering bargain through fares to Paris / Brussels.

North Wales - return prices start from GBP83.00: Bangor, Colwyn Bay, Llandudno Junction, Rhyl

Other stations on the Virgin West Coast network offering the through deals are:

Chester and Wrexham General - return prices start from GBP81.00

Midlands - return prices start from GBP73.00 return: Birmingham New Street, Birmingham International, Coventry, Milton Keynes Central, Nuneaton, Rugby, Tamworth, Wolverhampton

Stafford & Stoke-on-Trent - return prices start from GBP80.00

North West - return prices start from GBP81.00

Crewe, Macclesfield, Manchester Piccadilly, Runcorn, Stockport, Warrington Bank Quay, Wigan North Western

Liverpool Lime Street - return prices start from GBP83.00

Northern England: Carlisle, Oxenholme Lake District and Penrith North Lakes - return prices start from GBP87.00. Lancaster and Preston - return prices start from GBP89.00

These special through fares include travel with Virgin Trains to London Euston, one-stop Underground travel to Kings Cross St Pancras, and Eurostar travel to Paris or Brussels.
